Carolina Home Medical HME installed FleetTraks HMEGPS to streamline their delivery process. While they expected improvement, they were pleasantly surprised by the immediate and significant changes throughout their company. Here is what Manager Todd Rust had to say:

 

Unnecessary overtime cut by 100%

"The installation of FleetTraks had an immediate effect on unnecessary overtime, and on driver delivery habits. Once our drivers realized they were being tracked, they became more aware of how their time is spent and more efficient with their deliveries. We were also able to eliminate some overtime because now most all deliveries are completed by the end of the day. We now pay overtime only for those technicians who are called out while on call."

The daily mileage accumulation on each van has diminished. Technicians seem to look for the simplest routes and are more careful about grouping deliveries.

Customer service has improved because the CSRs are able to see where the technicians are located and the delivery schedule is more consistent. We can give the customer a better estimated time of delivery of their product."

 

Improved staff morale

"Overall staff morale has improved for several reasons. We do not have any upset customers calling due to late deliveries. Customer complaints are down and satisfaction surveys show that satisfaction is up."
